DEMOCRAT Eleanor Holmes Norton: Abortion Is A “Constitutional Right”…”

Who knew?

Via Red Alert:

The Constitution apparently protects Americans’ right to bear arms, freedom of speech and right to have an abortion, according to Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.).

The non-voting delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives was a guest on PBS‘ ‘To the Contrary‘ this week, where the women discussed Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis’ filibuster of the 20-week abortion ban bill. Holmes Norton spoke out against the polling data that shows a majority of Texans support the proposed legislation.

“It’s very interesting for you to tell me, or to tell the world, that 62 percent of this or that are for or against somebody’s constitutional rights,” she told the other panelists.

She stressed that abortion was not subject to public opinion, since the matter was already decided with Roe v. Wade. Holmes Norton then stated again that the 1973 Supreme Court case ”declared that the right to an abortion…is a constitutional right.” […]

The Congresswoman is correct in saying that the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade declared abortion constitutional and a “fundamental right.” But that doesn’t mean an abortion is a constitutional right. There is no amendment that guarantees a woman’s access to an abortion, unlike the right to bears arms or the freedom of speech.

Ted Cruz Tells National Right to Life Convention: Democrats Don’t Care About Infanticide”

In 2008 abortion survivor Gianna Jessen joined Born Alive Truth in a campaign to shine light on Barack Obama’s horrific record in support of infanticide. Gianna, who had survived as a baby after being aborted, pointed out that–
Obama voted 4 times in support of infanticide:

The liberal media ignored this gruesome story.

Today Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) told the National Right to Life Convention that Democrats don’t care about infanticide.
Life News reported:

During a speech at the National Right to Life convention on Friday, pro-life Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Democrats in the Senate don’t really care that abortionists like Kermit Gosnell kill babies in what is essentially infanticide.

Cruz opened by thanking pro-life advocates for their efforts.

“Thank you for that commitment to those who are most vulnerable among us, despite the ridicule of the mainstream media,” he said.

Cruz recalled the story of when his older daughter was getting ready for her unborn younger sister to be be born. And he remembered how his daughter offered his unborn child her blanket to cuddle with and chew on for security.

“It is amazing that, as a two-year-old, child, Caroline was able to understand something that Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid don’t understand.”

…Cruz mentioned Douglas Karpen, the late-term abortion practitioner who practices in Houston, Texas who also kills babies born alive and he said Senate Democrats don’t care that someone like Karpen operates like that. He condemned news outlets that ignored Gosnell and said pro-life advocates were successful in pressuring the media to cover his murder trial.

Is Snowden a Spy Who is Accused of Espionage… Or as Obummer says… “Just a 29 Year Old Hacker”

Posted by my “Guest Blogger”
Denise W.

Well, here I am again… and I’m mad as hell….

Did you hear Obummer say he isn’t going to call President Putin … #1.. because he shouldn’t have to…
that seems like me saying to my husband,”I am not going to ask you to do the dishes because I shouldn’t have to”….pretty childish isn’t it?

So, he shouldn’t have to because ??? because we have extradition rules that the various countries are supposed to return criminals to us Well, we do NOT with Russia!!!
or is it because he is just too damn busy (on his 100 million $$$ vacation to Africa)… Well he did had time to call:

He called the prop 8 plaintiffs on the gay marriage decision from the Supreme Court…

He called Sandra Fluke when Rush was mean to her

He called NBA player Jason Collins when he announced he was gay… now there is an earth shattering event

He called the Philadelphia coach when he signed Michael Vick after he was released from prison

He called pitcher Mark Buerhle for pitching a perfect game…

Seems he has time for a lot of stuff when he deems it important…
so is Snowden just a 29 year old hacker that he doesn’t deem important…
or is he as dangerous as the NY Times says he is… how much information does he have…

Well, have a good time on your 100 million $$$ vacation OBUMMER…

GOP Senators Predict Quick Death for Senate Immigration Bill in House

Republican reaction was swift and strong Thursday to the Senate’s passing of sweeping immigration reform legislation, with many senators predicting the measure will fail in the House of Representatives.

“Sponsors of this legislation, despite the array of financial, establishment, and special-interest support, failed to hit their target of 70 votes,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Alabama Republican who has long railed against the bill. “The more people learned about the bill, the more uneasy they became.

“Failure to reach 70 votes is significant, and ensures the House has plenty of space to chart an opposite course and reject this fatally flawed proposal,” Sessions said. “It is a broken promise, 1,200 pages long.”

Breaking… Obama to Christian Copts: Don’t Protest the Muslim Brotherhood Leader

Obama should be IMPEACHED for what he’s saying about Catholic’s WORLD wide. In Ireland Obama said, “A Catholic Education Divides People and Blocks Peace” and now he’s asking Egyptian Catholics not to protest the Muslim Brotherhood. These murdering, terrorist bastards would like to KILL every Jew in Israel and for that matter every Jew in the WORLD…The Muslims have been killing Coptic Christians in Egypt for years and Hussein Obama is asking these same Coptic Christians NOT to protest them…How freaking SICK is that!……..Papa Mike

obama bitch protesters
Egyptians protest Barack Obama’s support of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Once again the Barack Obama Administration is taking direction from the Muslim Brotherhood and telling Christian Copts in Egypt not to protest the Morsi regime. Opposition groups are planning a massive anti-Morsi protest on June 30.
Middle East Forum reported:

As Egyptians of all factions prepare to demonstrate in mass against the Muslim Brotherhood and President Morsi’s rule on June 30, the latter has been trying to reduce their numbers, which some predict will be in the millions and eclipse the Tahrir protests that earlier ousted Mubarak. Accordingly, among other influential Egyptians, Morsi recently called on Coptic Christian Pope Tawadros II to urge his flock, Egypt’s millions of Christians, not to join the June 30 protests.

While that may be expected, more troubling is that the U.S. ambassador to Egypt is also trying to prevent Egyptians from protesting—including the Copts. The June 18 edition of Sadi al-Balad reports that lawyer Ramses Naggar, the Coptic Church’s legal counsel, said that during Patterson’s June 17 meeting with Pope Tawadros, she “asked him to urge the Copts not to participate” in the demonstrations against Morsi and the Brotherhood.

The Pope politely informed her that his spiritual authority over the Copts does not extend to political matters.

It’s Called “Simple Math”….Social Security vs 401K Plan

There has been commentary about what a great deal Social Security recipients are getting for the Social Security Taxes they and their employers contributed.

I will use my own case as an example and let the readers decide for themselves.

I started to receive $2,103.00 per month in January 2010 at age 66. My life expectancy was age 83, or another 17 years at the time.

I paid a total of $99,366.00 in Social Security Taxes over the 50 year period from 1959 through 2009. My employers had to match that same amount, so the total interest free loan to the government was twice what I paid or $198,732.00. If we continue to ignore the time value of money (interest), that pays for about eight years of my pension payments.

WHAT IF MINE AND MY EMPLOYER’S MONEY HAD BEEN PAID INTO A 401K PLAN OR SOMETHING SIMILAR INSTEAD?

Scalia Dissent: Gay Marriage Decision ‘Jaw-Dropping’

In a blistering rebuke of the Supreme Court decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act, Justice Antonin Scalia said the self-governing power of the people has been eroded.

“Today’s opinion aggrandizes the power of the court to pronounce the law,” Scalia wrote in the dissenting opinion. It will have the predictable consequence of diminishing the “power of our people to govern themselves,” wrote Scalia, who was joined in his dissent by Justices Clarence Thomas and Chief Justice John Roberts, while Justice Samuel Alito wrote a separate dissenting opinion.

Scalia described the “assertion of judicial supremacy over the people’s representatives in Congress and the executive” as “jaw-dropping.”

Urgent: Supreme Court Right on Gay Marriage? Vote Here Now

“It envisions a Supreme Court standing (or rather enthroned) at the apex of government, empowered to decide all constitutional questions, always and everywhere ‘primary’ in its role,” said Scalia. “This image of the court would have been unrecognizable to those who wrote and ratified our national charter.”
