The White House sent three people to the funeral of St. Michael of Swisher Sweets. Isn’t that special? They’re honoring a thug. Of course this same White House didn’t send anyone to the funeral of the general who was killed in Afghanistan. A thug rates higher than a patriot. But what about Antonio?
Brandi Murry’s little boy just wanted a cupcake.
Antonio Smith, her outgoing and “never quiet” 9-year-old son, called to ask his mother for the treat Wednesday afternoon.
Murry said she was on her way home from work. And she denied her son’s request.
But Antonio got upset, Murry said. And her 12-year-old son called at 3:45 p.m. to say Antonio had fled the family’s new apartment in the 1100 block of East 73rd Street.
Twenty minutes later, Chicago police found Antonio behind a home in the 1200 block of East 71st Street. They said he had been shot multiple times.
Antonio was pronounced dead at Comer Children’s Hospital at 5:13 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
“He got mad because I didn’t give him what he wanted,” Murry, 34, told the Chicago Sun-Times as she recounted the events that led to the death of the boy she called “Duke.”
How come the White House doesn’t think he’s as important as an eighteen-year-old thug? He’s black. But he was prolly shot by another black and in Chicago that’s just a statistic. If I was Antonio’s mother, I would be asking the president why a black thug was more important than my nine-year-old son. Easy. He can’t rile up a black mob with the death of your son like he can with the death of a black thug who was shot by a white police officer. Sorry Brandi, your son doesn’t rate as high as a thug. No Jesse Hymietown Jackson. No Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddy’s Fashion Mart Arson Sharpton. No Eric My People Holder. Just another pointless death in Chicago.
