Christine Blasey Ford has claimed that four other people attended a small gathering at which she was allegedly assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh. Three of those people, PJ Smyth, Mark Judge, and Kavanaugh, have already denied any recollection of attending such a party.
On Saturday night, Leland Ingham Keyser, a classmate of Ford’s at the all-girls school Holton-Arms and her final named witness, denied any recollection of attending a party with Brett Kavanaugh.
“Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford,” lawyer Howard J. Walsh said in a statement sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Keyser previously coached golf at Georgetown University and is now executive producer of Bob Beckel’s podcast. Keyser is the ex-wife of Beckel, a former Democratic operative and commentator. A search on OpenSecrets.org reveals Keyser’s only political donation has been to former Democratic senator Byron Dorgan.
Keyser’s denial, as a female lifelong friend and Ford’s last alleged witness, is the most consequential development that has occurred since Ford publicly stepped forward last Sunday and detailed her allegations to the Washington Post. Ford’s allegation of the 1982 incident was told to no one until a 2012 therapy session, when Kavanaugh was first touted in the media as the most likely GOP Supreme Court nominee.
All of Ford’s alleged witnesses of the party, both male and female, have now denied any recollection of attending such a party.
In written testimony sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee, a third named witness has rejected the allegations made by Judge Kavanaugh’s accuser. Having been asked by a Senate staffer to comment on the charges advanced against the nominee, a lawyer for Leland Ingham Keyser wrote:
Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.
Under 18 U.S.C § 1001, letters to the Judiciary Committee are subject to criminal penalty if false.
Ms. Keyer, whom CNN confirms is “a lifelong friend of Ford’s,” is the third named witness to deny any knowledge of the allegations. The other two, Mark Judge and Patrick Smyth, issued written statements to that effect earlier in the week. Thus far, nobody has backed up the account advanced by Kavanaugh’s accuser, while Kavanaugh and three other named witnesses have rejected it outright.
A team of 911 dispatchers in Borger has a new four-legged friend that’s making their jobs a little easier— Sergeant Squelch.
Assistant Administrator for Municipal Court and Dispatch, Nicole Riggle, said the three-month old pup isn’t living in the average home, but has found his forever home with the dispatch team.
“He came from the Borger Animal Shelter. He was brought to us by one of the workers there, she was just bringing him by to kind of visit and it kind of just hit it off from there,” she said.
Squelch eats, plays and sleeps at the Borger Regional Communications Center.
“Between all of us we take him for walks, we take him out to go to the bathroom when he needs, he’s so good with that,” said Riggle. “He knows when to go to the door whenever it’s time. He needs to go, he’ll go to the door. There’s a little park behind our building and so he goes and plays, runs around. Some of us have brought our kids up here to play with him so he’s accustomed to kids and people.”
The dispatcher team in Borger answers 911 calls for all of Hutchinson County.
Riggle said Sergeant Squelch is a perfect fit for an atmosphere that can become highly stressful in an instant.
“Before him, the stress relief, you would just have to just have to get up and leave the room,” she said. “Because there’s calls that can come in and it can be nice and smooth and everything can change in the blink of an eye. You never know what your next call’s going to be.”
Here is a closer look. Katz is wearing a radical Socialist T-shirt.
Debra Katz, the attorney for Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, is not just a partisan Democrat, she is The Resistance.
Katz has built her legal career on agitation of sexual harassment claims through very high profile cases. She is a committed activist on issues of discrimination. She is as likely to show up holding a sign of protest as she is wearing courtroom attire.
Katz protested the appointment of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General (we are on the same page with that!), and she regularly protests in favor of DACA and equates immigration orders to Islamophobia. Her protest of Sessions was caught on camera where she stated:
“We are going to fight back,” she told a reporter. “We are going to resist. We will not be silenced.”
What people on the Right need to understand is that these people have been at this for decades. They are light years ahead of any conservatively-minded constituents. Katz is a classic example of one steeped in social activism since at least law school. Who wouldn’t expect to have honed her skills to such a sharp point by this time?
