I’m Tired

By Robert A. Hall

I’m 73
Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce

and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but
job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18.

Despite some health challenges, I still put in
50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in
seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but
I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I
worked to get where I am. Given the economy,
there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired.
Very tired.

I’m tired of being told
that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who
don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being
told the government will take the money I
earned, by force if necessary, and give it to
people too lazy to earn it.

I’m tired of being told
that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every
day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men
killing their sisters, wives and daughters for
their family “honor”; of Muslims rioting over
some slight offense; of Muslims murdering
Christian and Jews because they aren’t
“believers;” of Muslims burning schools for
girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims
to death for “adultery;” of Muslims mutilating
the genitals of little girls; all in the name of
Allah, because the Qur’an and Sharia ???a law tells them to.

I’m tired of being told
that, out of “tolerance for other cultures,” we
must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund
mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach
hate in America and Canada , while no American
nor Canadian group is allowed to fund a church,
synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to
teach love and tolerance.

I’m tired of being told I
must lower my living standard to fight global
warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I’m tired of being told
that drug addicts have a disease, and I must
help support and treat them, and pay for the
damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a
dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up
their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I’m tired of hearing
wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians
of both parties talking about innocent mistakes,
stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we
all know they think their only mistake was
getting caught. I’m tired of people with a sense
of entitlement, rich or poor.

I’m real tired of people who
don’t take responsibility for their lives and
actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the
government, or discrimination or big-whatever
for their problems.

Yes, I’m damn tired. But I’m also glad to
be 73.. Because, mostly, I’m not going to have
to see the world these people are making. I’m
just sorry for my granddaughters and grandson.

St. Louis University removed his statue because the Catholic priest and foundrepresented white supremacy.
The College Fix reported:

Saint Louis University has removed a statue on its campus depicting a famous Jesuit missionary priest praying over American Indians after a cohort of students and faculty continued to complain the sculpture symbolized white supremacy, racism and colonialism.

Formerly placed outside the university’s Fusz Hall in the center of the private Catholic university, the statue will go to the university’s art museum, a building just north of the bustling urban campus.

The statue features famous Jesuit Missionary Pierre-Jean De Smet S.J. praying over two American Indians dressed in traditional clothing. Last Monday, just two days after graduation, it was removed from the location it has called home on campus for decades.

A university spokesperson told St. Louis Magazine the statue will be placed within the “historical context of a collection that’s on permanent display in our SLU Museum of Art.” The statue is set for the museum’s “Collection of the Western Jesuit Missions.”

“In more recent years, there have been some faculty and staff who have raised questions about whether the sculpture is culturally sensitive,” SLU spokesman Clayton Berry said.

Berry did not respond to The College Fix’s request for comment.

In the meantime SLU is commissioning a statue dedicated to the Mike Brown protesters!

Obama Crime Wave Spreads Across America

Lawlessness: Fueled by this president’s anti-police policies and race-baiting rhetoric, thugs are attacking cops and terrorizing major cities. Horrible violence is breaking out all over. We are witnessing a national crime wave.

Law enforcement expects to see an escalation in criminal activity over the summer. Already we’ve seen a disturbing trend in May, including:

• The deadliest month Baltimore has seen in more than 15 years, with almost 30 shootings and nine deaths just over the holiday weekend. That makes well over 100 murders this year, compared with 71 at this time last year, the fastest the city has reached 100 homicides since 2007.

Menendez: Obama’s Cuba Decision Misguided And Dangerous

Via The Hill:

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) slammed the Obama administration on Friday for removing Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, calling the decision “dangerous and misguided.”

“This dangerous and misguided policy is resulting in the U.S. conceding on bedrock values, while Cuba is only more intransigent and uncompromising in its disrespect for universal values and freedoms,” Menendez said in a statement. “It is terribly disconcerting that the list of unilateral concessions by the Obama Administration continues to grow without any signs of reciprocity from a despotic and reinvigorated Castro regime.”

The Obama administration on Friday formally dropped Cuba from the state sponsors of terrorism list after more than three decades, paving the way for normalized relations between Cuba and the United States.
The president’s move was long expected, with the administration required to give Congress a 45-day review period.

Menendez is a leading critic of the administration’s Cuba policy, including its decision to try to normalize relations. Until earlier this year, the New Jersey Democrat was the ranking member of the Foreign Relations Committee, but he temporarily stepped aside as he battles charges of bribery and fraud.

Their deaths bring the total number of city homicides in May to 38, the highest monthly total since 1999. There have been 111 homicides in the city this year.
WBal TV reported:

A woman and a boy were fatally shot Thursday morning in southwest Baltimore.

City police said officers were called around 8:19 a.m. to the 100 block of Upmanor Road, where a 31-year-old woman and a young boy believed to be around 8 years old had been shot in the head.

“Every loss of life is tragic, none more so than when we have such a young life that is taken away. This woman and this child did not deserve to have this happen. This is a truly tragic incident, and I’m begging and pleading for anyone that may have any small bit of information to please call us. They can call 911, they can caUll our homicide section at 410-396-2100, they can always remain anonymous. Why I’m begging so much is because we need to solve this case. There is no other time than right now when we need to come together as a city, as a Police Department, as a community as a whole and find justice for this young man who lost his life and this young woman,” Sgt. Jarron Jackson said.

“It was early in the morning. We know people were outside, we know people were going to work, we know someone must have seen or heard something. No matter how small or how minute you think it is, please call us with that information, it may be the key piece of information that can help us bring closure to this case,” Jackson said.

America Gets Grubered: Overhead Costs Exploding Under Obamacare

by Jim Hoft With The Gateway Pundit on Thursday, May 28, 2015

Remember when Barack Obama said Obamacare will cost less than your cell phone bill?

Yeah, that was another lie.

Now we know that bureaucratic costs of Obamacare will cost the country more than $270 billion over the next decade “over and above” what would have been expected if the law had not been enacted.

America got Grubered again.
The Hill reported:

Five years after the passage of ObamaCare, there is one expense that’s still causing sticker shock across the healthcare industry: overhead costs.

The administrative costs for healthcare plans are expected to explode by more than a quarter of a trillion dollars over the next decade, according to a new study published by the Health Affairs blog.

The $270 billion in new costs, for both private insurance companies and government programs, will be “over and above what would have been expected had the law not been enacted,” one of the authors, David Himmelstein, wrote Wednesday.

Those costs will be particularly high this year, when overhead is expected to make up 45 percent of all federal spending related to the Affordable Care Act. By 2022, that ratio will decrease to about 20 percent of federal spending related to the law.

The study is based on data from both the government’s National Health Expenditure Projections and the Congressional Budget Office. Both authors are members of Physicians for a National Health Program, which advocates for a single-payer system.

“This number – 22.5 percent of all new spending going into overheard – is shocking even to me, to be honest. It’s almost one out of every four dollars is just going to bureaucracy,” the study’s other author, Steffie Woolhandler, said Wednesday.

Bikers Plan ARMED Anti-Islamist Protest Outside Terrorist Mosque in AZ

by Jim Hoft With The Gateway Pundit on Thursday, May 28, 2015

Armed bikers are planning an anti-Islamist protest on Friday at the Islamic Community Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jon Ritzheimer, the event’s organizer, shown here in a t-shirt that will be sold ahead of the planned protest.

The protest is called Freedom of Speech Rally Round II.

Two pro-ISIS terrorists were shot dead outside the Garland, Texas Draw Mohammad Contest in early May. The two terrorists attended the mosque in Phoenix.

Jihadists Nadir Soofi and Elton Simpson were shot dead when they tried to ambush the Texas “Draw Mohammad Contest.” ISIS took credit for the attack.

The anti-Islamist rally is planned for Friday.
Bridge Initiative reported, via Bare Naked Islam:

On Friday, May 29, 2015, a group of bikers in Arizona plan to host an anti-Islam demonstration outside of the Islamic Community Center in Phoenix. Dubbed as “Freedom of Speech Rally Round 2,” a reference to American blogger Pamela Geller’s ‘Draw Muhammad’ cartoon contest in Garland, Texas earlier this month, the event, organized on Facebook, is described as a “response to the recent attack in Texas where 2 armed terrorists with ties to ISIS, attempted to kill a bunch of people.”

Prior to gathering outside of the mosque, the motorcyclists say they’ll meet in a nearby Denny’s parking lot, where they’ll have a “Muhammad cartoon contest.” They plan to take the images of Islam’s prophet to the Islamic Community Center at 6:15 that evening — a time when the Muslim community is expected to gather inside.

The rally’s organizer, Jon Ritzheimer, has called on the group to “to utilize there [sic] second amendment right at this event just incase our first amendment comes under the much anticipated attack.” He warns on the event’s Facebook page that the mosque is “a known place that the 2 terrorist [sic] frequented.” The would-be ambushers of Pamela Geller’s event in Garland are said to have worshiped there.

As of Wednesday morning, 128 people had signed up to attend the Phoenix rally.

MSNBC, HuffPo, Other Media Link Texas Floods To Climate Change…

image

Nobody could see this coming from a mile away…

Via Newsbusters:

Despite media denials that “specific weather events” can be linked to overall climate patterns, that is exactly what several major news outlets have done in the wake of deadly floods in Texas.

MSNBC, Huffington Post, The Dallas Morning News and other media have suggested global warming played a role in the torrential rain and consequent, deadly flooding in Texas during Memorial Day weekend. A year earlier many were blaming Texas’ drought on global warming.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews made this link during Hardball With Chris Matthews May 26. He cited the National Climate Assessment, claiming that “climate change contributes to harsh climate conditions like the flooding in Texas and drought in California happening right now.”

He failed to admit that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released a report in December 2014 that said the opposite regarding global warming and droughts in California. The report instead attributed the drought primarily to a La Nina weather pattern.

Matthews also interviewed Columbia University Earth Institute Director Jeffrey Sachs, a man-made global warming alarmist. He said that “underlying warming of the sea surface and the land” led to “tragedies” like the flooding in Texas.

Sachs is a long-time crony of left-wing billionaire George Soros. His “Millennium Village Project” received $50 million from Soros in 2008. Soros pledged in 2011 to contribute an additional $27 million during the next five years.

More Black Lives Matter

Ron sent me this Hope n’ Change cartoon that nails it. This pretty much shows that Black Lives Matter is pure CRAP!. Just like “Hands up, Don’t Shoot”, another debunked black myth. Speaking of St. Louis, there were 13 shootings over the Memorial Day weekend.
