REPORT: Trump Basher Jason Chaffetz Planning to Join Fox News

Republican Representative Jason Chaffetz, out of Utah, reportedly told House Republicans that he plans on taking a role at Fox News

Back in April, Chaffetz announced he would not be seeking reelection in 2018 and apparently he plans to have a “substantial role” at Fox News on air, as was reported by the Washingtonian.

As the Washingtonian reported:

There is another possibility. According to two GOP lawmakers who have spoken to Chaffetz directly and four senior House Republican aides, Chaffetz has been telling people he’ll take on what one source calls a “substantial role” in on-air talent at Fox News Channel, possibly as early as July, amplifying whispers that Chaffetz will not finish out his current term.

One senior House Republican aide commented, “Let’s just say that when Jason told us he was headed to Fox, no one was surprised.” Another House Republican member stated that Chaffetz was, “gunning for it.”

The Hill reports:

“Fox was his first choice once he announced his plans,” the House Republican member said.

“He’s probably one of the most media-capable members in the House,” another senior House Republican aide said, “just based on total time spent on a television camera.”

In a surprise decision in April, Chaffetz announced he would not seek reelection. He said in a Facebook post that he made the decision after “long consultation” with his family and “prayerful consideration.”

Still, he noted he “may run again for public office, but not in 2018.”

Rep. Steve Pearce(R-NM) Proposes ‘Virtual’ Congress

Make them live in the districts they represent. They can meet in DC once a year.

Via Washington Examiner:

Rep. Steve Pearce, after more than a decade in the House, thinks he knows why people are so unhappy with Congress. Once elected, lawmakers become creatures of Washington and lose touch with the people who sent them there.

To fix it, the New Mexico Republican has proposed a resolution that would let lawmakers work the way millions of others do: remotely.

His resolution, H.Res. 298, encourages the House Administration Committee to explore ways to let members work in a “virtual setting.” That would include letting members debate, vote, and even attend hearings while they’re home.

“The biggest complaint that exists about Washington is that they seem to be out of touch with the voters,” Pearce told the Washington Examiner. “And so, the ultimate impact would be to put us extremely back in touch with our voters.”

Pearce believes this move would bring dramatic changes to Congress. To Pearce, working remotely isn’t about letting lawmakers skip their morning shower and letting them lounge around the basement all day.

“I wouldn’t visualize us sitting at home,” he said.

Instead, he imagines moving around his huge district in New Mexico, and letting voters watch live as he debates and votes in committee or on the floor. Pearce wants to set up huge screens in local auditoriums to let people watch what Congress is doing up close, while their representative is in the room with them.

He thinks the pressure of having real people watch the process live would give members a new perspective.

Whoopi Goldberg on Trump Firing Comey: ‘Feels Like a Coup’

If your depending on getting the TRUTH about the “Comey Firing” or for that matter anything, the View is NOT where you will find it! These women HATE Trump, and ever since he was elected President the ONLY thing they talk ( LIE ) about is what Trump is doing 24 / 7. How can you believe anything Whoopi Goldberg says when she believes Cosby is being framed because he’s BLACK!…..Papa Mike

VIDEO HERE

On “The View” on Thursday, co-host Whoopi Goldberg said President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey “feels like a coup.”

“Does this feel like a coup to anybody? It feels like a coup,” Goldberg said. “First, the whole Justice Department got, everybody got gutted, all the things got gutted. It just feels — and he got all the generals — it feels kind of coup-y.”

Joy Behar agreed and said she was also infuriated by Trump meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister and ambassador on Wednesday, with only Russian state media present.

“Guess who’s missing from that room? The American press,” Behar said to cheers from the audience. “This is treason to me. This is un-American, unpatriotic. Americans should be furious.”

Goldberg said Americans should be less focused on who’s being fired and who’s being hired, who’s staying and who’s leaving. She said the real focus should be on the investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia, and who is leading that probe.
