Right on cue, the media in Gaza has started the flow of pics of injured children and shroud wrapped bodies of children brought on by the “unprovoked” attacks by Israel. Anytime Hamas or Hezbollah starts getting their asses kicked, they bring out the pics of the kids and lament the terror being visited upon them.

The most recent ones are the photos of the dead bodies of the children of Hamas leader, Nizar Rayan. Not content to just carry the Hamas flag drapped bodies through the streets, the crowds uncovered the faces for the sympathetic media to see the horror brought upon the innocents.

In grisly scenes, mourners held up the bloodied bodies of the children to the cameras in a clear attempt to blacken Israel’s name and highlight its brutality.

But let’s take a gander at a few facts instead of just tearing out our hair and rending our clothes…

Nizar Rayan, his four wives and 10 of his children were all killed by in an Israeli air strike on his home after he ignored warnings they should go into hiding.

This “father” had ample warnings to protect his family but chose to have them die with him as “martyrs” for the cause of Hamas. And those secondary explosions were really nothing more than left-over New Year’s Eve fireworks….

Rayan was such a concerned father that he previously used his own children for suicide bombings…

He even sent one of his sons on an October 2001 suicide mission that killed two Israeli settlers in Gaza.

The only thing really unusual about this is that Nizar Rayan actually stayed around and got killed. Usually the Hamas leaders and fighters run like cowards and leave the women and children to take the hits so it makes for better PR…

Hamas leaders have largely disappeared since Israel launched its operations but Rayan was known for openly defying the country.

Rayan was not just some figurehead either. He was quite vocal about his hatred of anything Israeli and encouraged violence against Israel…

Rayan was fundamentally against the state of Israel and had declared: ‘There is nothing called Israel, neither in reality nor in the imagination.’
He was preaching in a local mosque on the day before he was killed and said: ‘Our only language with the Jew is through the gun.’

Hamas law-maker Mushir Masri called Rayan’s death an assasination and vowed that it would not go unpunished.

‘The Palestinian resistance will not forget and will not forgive. The resistance’s response will be very painful,’ he warned.

So what’s new? The Palestinian resistance has been murdering innocent Israelis and even their own people for years. It looks like Israel will be the one delivering the painful response for a change.

In the meantime, watch for more propaganda pics and videos from the Hamas driven media in Gaza. Recent reports about mosques being hit are just the tip of the iceberg – just ignore the fact that the massive secondary explosions indicate huge weapons caches stored in the mosques. Any day now we’ll have another version of Qana II with wailing rescue workers running down the street with children that were dead well before the so-called attack.

  1. Joe says:

Hamas is criminal but so is the Israeli regime. Why do you apologize for this awful abortionist, socialist and militarist regime?

The Israeli government does not deliberately target civilians, but they know large numbers of civilians will always die by the type of warfare they wage (aerial bombardment), but they are willing to have this happen. They are destroying the lives of any and all human beings in the Hamas regime, including all those not responsible in any way for the rocket launches. This is mass murder. They are also responsible for and willing to accept the deaths of hundreds of completely innocent people as a direct result of their deliberate killings (mass murder) to achieve a political objective (terrorism). This killing of innocent people, while not deliberate, still constitutes mass negligent homicide and felony murder.

I am committing here the sin of arguing this: ALL governments (including the favored American, British and Israeli) MUST obey the same moral law, naming that one can use lethal force ONLY as an absolute last resort to save the lives of human beings who are directly and immediately threatened.

Hamas’ rocket launches are of course criminal. However, they killed FOUR people. Israel has killed about SIX HUNDRED people. Is this just and equitable? Where is it found in Judaeo-Christian morality or natural law that you can kill 600 people (almost all innocent) because of crimes that kiled 4 people, especially when your actions to stop the rocket launches end up causing even more to be launched? So you end up destroying vast numbers of people to make the problem worse.

This is insane and immoral. The better response would be to send in a limited force of commandos to find the rocket launchers and arrest them. To wage a campaign of vast destruction of life and property is not moral and is much worse than the original problem. It defeats the very purpose of having a government to protect life, rights and property, if you are destroying and damaging all three.

Please stop apologizing for a regime which respects neither Jewish moral law, nor human life nor human rights.

  2. Christina says:

Joe, when the Israeli strikes kill civilians, it’s after the Israelis have bent over backward to try to limit civilian casualties, and after Hamas has done all in its power to MAXIMIZE civilian casualties. Israel sends TEXT MESSAGES to warn people of impending strikes, giving them time to clear out, even though it also gives the terrorists time (if they so choose) to clear out. I’m betting that the rat-bastards of Hamas stand around the neighborhoods with guns and shoot anybody who tries to flee in the face of an Israeli bomb strike, because they need the bodies. They need civilian casualties to win the PR war.

Lets compare the two groups that you say are equally guilty:

    Israel ———– ————– Hamas

Targets weapons ——— Targets people, particularly civilians

Warns of impending strikes – Strikes without warning

    Stores weapons ———– Stores weapons
away from civilians ——– as close as possible to civilians

    Moves civilians ———– Moves civilians
as far from combat ———into areas of combat
as possible ————– to generate corpses for PR

Provides humanitarian —— Uses their injured for PR
aid and medical care ——– and stages fake medical care
to civilians as well as ——– for PR purposes
    enemy combatants

What next, a claim that the Allies somehow forced the Nazis to kill Jews?

  3. Joe says:

I did not say the Israeli regime was equivalent to Hamas. In some ways better; others worse. It is indisputable that they have destroyed FAR more lives of Palestinians than Hamas has Israelis. Even if Hamas’ actions are criminal, that does not justify criminal destruction of human life and property by Israeli bombardment.

You are defending actions of a government that if committed by anyone else would be called mass murder and terrorism. Regardless of how bad Hamas may be it does not justify killing huge numbers of human beings deliberately and unnecessarily or negligently and unnecessarily.

It is time we made western governments obey the same moral laws everyone else has to obey. If you or I tried to do what the Israeli government is doing we would get life in prison or execution.
