Three years ago, Best Buy announced it would no longer use the word ‘Christmas’ in its seasonal advertising because, they claimed, it was disrespectful to other holidays to use a specific holiday in its advertising: “We are going to continue to use the term holiday because there are several holidays throughout that time period, and we certainly need to be respectful of all of them.”

All right, so explain this:

Best Buy will not allow the words “Merry Christmas” in its advertising, but are fine with wishing Muslims a “Happy Eid al-Adha.”

Meanwhile, The Gap has also expunged any mention of the horrible celebration of the birth of the Prince of Peace and replaced it with “Dowhateveryouwannukah
