Multicultural criminals on the streets of Atlanta.
Via 11 Alive:
Atlanta is preparing to permanently end its relationship with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in regards to accepting immigration detainees at the Atlanta City Jail, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced Thursday.
“We will no longer be complicit with a policy that intentionally inflicts misery on a vulnerable population without giving any thought to the fallout,” Lance Bottoms said. “As the birthplace of the civil rights movement, we are called to be better than this.”
Thursday’s announcement comes after Lance Bottoms signed an executive order in June that said the city would not accept any more ICE detainees. She also issued an executive order to end the contract between ICE and the city jail.
Since then, Lance Bottoms said several ICE detainees have been removed from the jail with approximately five people still held.

See The Saddest Dog HERE at a local adoption center in California has finally found a home after a Sacramento couple went against staff’s recommendation to find a more friendly pooch.
Jessica Williams and her boyfriend Jared had recently moved into an apartment that permitted dogs. Even though Jared was open to the idea, he asked her if she could wait until her birthday in November.
But Jessica started searching around for her future pet, and a stray dog at a Los Angeles shelter won her heart.
‘He would snarl and snap at people as they walked by,’ Williams told The Dodo. ‘I had never seen a sadder dog and knew we couldn’t leave him there.’
essica and Jared made the six-hour journey from Northern California but the workers continuously insisted that they instead adopt another pet.
‘The shelter also told us he wasn’t friendly,’ said Jessica, adding the shelter staff said ‘he wouldn’t be a dog that would come over to us to be cuddly.’
Benji, who had been at the shelter for 10 days, wasn’t too fond of strangers.
A flea allergy caused him to lose much of his fur and the shelter staff weren’t very open to the idea of allowing the three to spend time together.
The dog-loving couple thought otherwise and signed the required adoption papers, making Benji an official member of their family against the shelter’s advice.
WHO TOOK MY MONEY?
Actually, President Kennedy and Sergeant Shriver were the first ones to misuse the Social Security account. They used Social Security funds to start the Peace Corps. Not the first or last time our money has been taken from American citizens and given to foreign nations. Things every U.S. citizen should know and remember about Social Security and changes made:
A History Lesson on Your Social Security Card . . . just in case some of you young whipper-snappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this. It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it.
FACTS ARE FACTS
Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number,
it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, NOT FOR
IDENTIFICATION, was removed. Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program.
1. That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary. – No longer Voluntary.
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first
$1,400 of their annual Incomes
into the Program. – Now 7.65% on the first $90,000.
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program
would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year. – No longer tax deductible.
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent “Trust Fund” rather than into the
general operating fund and, therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program and no other Government program. – Under Democrat President Johnson the money was moved to the General Fund and spent.
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income. – Under Democrats Clinton & Gore, up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every
month and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal
government to ‘put away’ — you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent
‘Trust Fund’ and
put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for
Social Security (FICA)
A: The Democrat Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the ‘tie-breaking’
deciding vote as
President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That’s right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic
Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that
the Republicans want to take your Social Security away! And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it! If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. But it’s worth a try.
Smart business move on his part and it took a LOT of “guts”
A Colorado Springs, Colorado, sporting goods store owner has decided to stop carrying Nike gear in his store in response to Nike’s partnership with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The store, Prime Time Sports, is owned by Stephen Martin who was inspired by the Nike slogan to “just do it,” according to an interview with local KSN News.
The store currently has an entire wall, dedicated to Nike gear, and Martin is unsure if his store will be able to stay open without the athletic wear giant’s products.
“Pretty sure I won’t survive without them,” Martin said. “I gotta do what I gotta do. I’m just doing it.”[…]
The Prime Time Sports owner isn’t just making this bold move against Nike because of his own experiences. He believes that it’s important to draw attention to who the real heroes are.
Martin told the story about his father-in-law, who was a POW and was forced to watch his fellow soldiers be beaten and even killed, and he wasn’t able to intervene.
“He said the hardest part for me was watching his fellow soldiers get beat up and killed in front of him and he couldn’t defend them because it would have cost him his life,” Martin said.
“So Colin, you don’t know what sacrifice is, you just don’t know what it is, in my opinion.”
Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) released “committee confidential” Kavanaugh documents on Thursday whilst admitting he would be “knowingly violating the rules” and could possibly be ousted from the Senate.
Cory Booker released 12 pages of Kavanaugh emails wherein the Judge discussed racial inequality, including a thread with the subject line, “racial inequality.”
“I am right now, before your process is finished, I am going to release the email about racial profiling, and I understand the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate,” Booker said.
Of course the left is calling Cory Booker a hero for releasing confidential documents.
Shortly after Senator Booker released the confidential documents, Senator Grassley’s staffers released a large quantity of emails previously marked ‘confidential,’ and the emails Booker released were included in bulk of documents, reported The Hill.
FOX News reported:
“I’m saying I’m knowingly violating the rules,” Booker replied. “Senator Cornyn has called me out for it.”
“How many times are you going to tell us that?” Grassley replied.
Cornyn, at one point, read the Senate rule that says, “Any Senator, officer or employee of the Senate who shall disclose the secret or confidential business or proceedings of the Senate, including the business and proceedings of the committees, subcommittees and offices of the Senate shall be liable, if a Senator, to suffer expulsion from the body; and if an officer or employee, to dismissal from the service of the Senate, and to punishment for contempt.”
Booker replied, “Bring it.”
The Democrat also said, “This is about the closest I’ll probably ever have in my life to an, ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.”
A number of Democrats, including Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, threw their support behind Booker’s move.
“I completely agree with you. I concur with what you are doing…So if there is going to be some retribution against the senator from New Jersey, count me in,” Durbin said.
“We support what Sen. Booker is doing here,” Klobuchar said.
On Wednesday, The New York Times published an op-ed from an anonymous senior Trump administration official bragging about being a saboteur inside the White House.
The New York Times prefaced the op-ed by saying they are taking a “rare step” of publishing an anonymous op-ed essay and labeled the author as a “senior official in the Trump administration.”
The author claimed people within the Trump administration are ‘working diligently from within to frustrate parts of Trump’s agenda.’
The ban hammer is coming and it could be the BEST thing for Trump, and the Republican Party if he couldn’t “Tweet” EVER again!!……..Papa Mike
Twitter said Tuesday that not even President Donald Trump is immune from being kicked off the platform if his tweets cross a line with abusive behavior.
The social media company’s rules against vitriolic tweets offer leeway for world leaders whose statements are newsworthy, but that “is not a blanket exception for the president or anyone else,” Twitter legal and policy chief Vijaya Gadde told POLITICO in an interview alongside CEO Jack Dorsey.
Trump regularly uses Twitter to heap abuse on his perceived enemies and at times raise the specter of violence, such as when he tweeted last year that if North Korean leaders continued with their rhetoric at the time, “they won’t be around much longer!” Critics say the tweets violate Twitter’s terms of service and warrant punitive action.
Dorsey, who’s due to testify before two congressional committees Wednesday about his company’s content practices, said he receives notifications on his phone for Trump’s Twitter account. But asked if he would weigh in personally to remove Trump from the platform, he declined to get into specifics.
“We have to balance it with the context that it’s in,” he said. “So my role is to ask questions and make sure we’re being impartial, and we’re upholding consistently our terms of service, including public interest.”
At first glance this may seem like a trivial story but what lies hidden beneath it could have serious consequences for our children and grandchildren.
In Switzerland it has long been customary for students to shake the hands of their teachers at the beginning and end of the school day. It’s a sign of solidarity and mutual respect between teacher and pupil, one that is thought to encourage the right classroom atmosphere. Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga recently felt compelled to further explain that shaking hands was part of Swiss culture and daily life.
And the reason she felt compelled to speak out about the handshake is that two Muslim brothers, aged 14 and 15, who have lived in Switzerland for several years (and thus are familiar with its mores), in the town of Therwil, near Basel, refused to shake the hands of their teacher, a woman, because, they claimed, this would violate Muslim teachings that contact with the opposite sex is allowed only with family members.
Properly identifying ticks is the first step in the prevention and eradication of tick-borne diseases. Learn to identify various ticks – some can be more dangerous than others!
WARNING: Luna-ticks can be found almost anywhere, they are invasive and are almost impossible to get rid of once established. They are more prevalent in California and the Capitol Building, whichis located on the edge of the Washington DC swamp.
WASHINGTON (AP) — John McCain’s daughter and two former presidents led a public rebuke of President Donald Trump’s divisive politics at the late senator’s memorial service Saturday in a call for a return to civility among the nation’s leaders.
The nearly three-hour service at the Washington National Cathedral was a remarkable show of defiance against a president McCain openly defied in life as the antithesis of the American spirit of service to something greater than any individual.
Trump has dismissed the idea that McCain, a prisoner of war in Vietnam, was a hero. The president made clear he resented McCain’s thumbs-down vote last year that sank the Republican attempt to repeal national health care. And he only marked McCain’s passing on Aug. 25 with traditional presidential actions after he came under fire from the American Legion.
Trump chose to head to his Virginia golf course during Saturday’s service and tweeted his grievances against the FBI and NAFTA throughout the day. In one missive, he misspelled former President Barack Obama’s first name. He sent Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner, Defense Secretary James Mattis and others to the service to represent the administration.
McCain asked Obama, a Democrat, and George W. Bush, a Republican, to speak at his memorial service and they gave personal testimony that overcoming rivalries and partisan politics was not only possible but good for the country. Both men had denied McCain’s presidential aspirations. But they spoke of reconciling with him during personal moments afterward, and, as Bush said, “the rivalry melted away.”
