Via Fox News:
President Barack Obama’s job rating remains upside-down — no big change there. Yet for the first time in a Fox News poll, more than half of voters find Obama unlikeable.
In addition, only about a third of voters say they trust the federal government, and most want Congress to continue to investigate Benghazi, the IRS, the government’s electronic surveillance program and the Justice Department’s monitoring of journalists.
The new Fox News national poll of registered voters was released Tuesday.
More voters disapprove than approve of Obama’s job performance on every issue save one: terrorism (on that the president receives positive marks — 52 percent approve, while 41 percent disapprove).
In contrast, majorities disapprove of his handling of the deficit (63 percent disapprove), the economy (58 percent), gun control (57 percent), health care (55 percent) immigration (53 percent) and foreign policy (50 percent).
Voters are also unhappy with the president’s handling of the National Security Agency’s surveillance (61 percent disapprove) and the treatment of conservative groups by the IRS (55 percent).
Overall, Obama’s job rating is underwater by eight percentage points: 43 percent of voters approve and 51 percent disapprove of his performance. That’s close to his previous rating of 44-50 percent in mid-June. A year ago the president’s rating was in positive territory: 48-43 percent (June 2012).
No money for kids who mention God but plenty of money to fund Planned Parenthood’s abortion mills, welcome to Obama’s America!

A Louisiana lawman is livid over the federal government’s decision to cut off funds for two programs to help troubled young people, all, he says, because he refused to sign a pledge to bar prayer or any mention of God at their meetings.
Julian Whittington, the sheriff of Bossier Parish, La., told Fox News the Department of Justice Office of Civil Rights defunded $30,000 for their Young Marines chapter as well as a youth diversion program. Federal officials objected to a voluntary student-led prayer in the department’s youth diversion program and an oath recited by the Young Marines that mentions God, according to Whittington, who blasted what he considers the government’s “aggression and infringement of our religious freedoms.”
“We were informed that these are unacceptable, inherently religious activities and the Department of Justice would not be able to fund the programs if it continued,” Whittington told Fox News. “They wanted a letter from me stating that I would no longer have voluntary prayer and I would also have to remove ‘God’ from the Young Marine’s oath.”
The DOJ and the Office of Civil Rights are aware of the controversy but did not return phone calls seeking comment.
Fox News obtained an email written by an attorney for the DOJ’s Office of Civil Rights raised questions about references to God and church along with the phrase “love of God.” The attorney also raised questions about one of the five elements of the Young Marines Creed – “Keep myself clean in mind by attending the church of my faith.”

This was nuts…
Kathlees Sebelius says she’s a Catholic.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today argued laws that restrict abortions are wrong and interfere with a woman’s relationship with her priest.
“I’m alarmed about any restrictions being passed by various legislatures that take out of the control of women, and their partners, and their doctors, and their priests, their own decisions about their healthcare.”
Someone needs to tell Sebelius – The Catholic Church is against abortion.
Hat Tip Andrew Marcus director of Hating Breitbart
And to think just two weeks ago Sebelius condemned a child to death for not being old enough for a transplant.
She didn’t have any problems with that decision, did she?
Yesterday IRS commissioner Danny Werfel told reporters the agency’s “Be on the lookout” list included not just conservative groups but progressive groups as well. Werfel also told reporters the IRS did not find evidence of intentional wrongdoing by anyone in the agency.
Yet, this is not accurate. The Inspector General report in May already confirmed that the agency was inappropriately targeting “conservative” groups.
What Werfel did not disclose was that the IRS list allowed “progressive” groups to be approved on the spot while agents were told to send conservative applications to Washington DC.
Eliana Johnson at The Corner reported:
Acting IRS commissioner Danny Werfel on Monday told reporters that the now-infamous “Be On The Lookout” list was far broader than was originally disclosed in the Treasury Department inspector general’s report. Reports from outlets including the Associated Press, which I cited in my original report, and now Bloomberg News, confirmed Werfel’s account, indicating that various versions of the list not only included terms like “tea party,” but also “progressive,” “Occupy,” and “Israel.”
A November 2010 version of the list obtained by National Review Online, however, suggests that while the list did contain the word “progressive,” screeners were in fact instructed to treat “progressive” groups differently from “tea party” groups. Whereas screeners were merely alerted that a designation of 501(c)(3) status “may not be appropriate” for applications containing the word ”progressive” – 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from conducting any political activities – they were told to send those of tea-party groups off IRS higher-ups for further scrutiny.
That means the applications of progressive groups could be approved on the spot by line agents, while those of tea-party groups could not. Furthermore, the November 2010 list noted that tea-party cases were “currently being coordinated with EOT,” which stands for Exempt Organizations Technical, a group of tax lawyers in Washington, D.C. Those of progressive groups were not.
Werfel purposely misrepresented the scandal yesterday to reporters.
He knew progressive groups were given a pass yet withheld this information. Danny Werfel is no better than his predecessors.
More… We also know that although three liberal groups were asked follow-up questions when they applied for tax-exempt status – The IRS DID NOT Give Liberal Groups Same Scrutiny as Conservative Organizations.

President Obama goes to a primary school to talk to the kids. After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand, and Obama asks him his name.
“Walter,” responds the little boy.
“And what is your question, Walter?”
“I have four questions:”
1. “Why did the USA bomb Libya without the support of the Congress?”
2. “Why do you keep saying you fixed the economy when it’s actually gotten worse?”
3. “Why did you say that Jeremiah Wright was your mentor, then said you knew nothing about his preaching and beliefs?”
4. “Why are we lending money to Brazil to drill for oil, but America is not allowed to drill for oil?”
Just then, the bell rings for recess. Obama informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess. When they resume, Obama says, “OK, where were we?”
“Oh, that’s right: question time. Who has a question?”
Another little boy puts up his hand. Obama points him out and asks him his name.
“Steve,” he responds.
“And what is your question, Steve?”
“Actually, I have two questions.”
1. “Why did the recess bell ring 20 minutes early?”
2. “What the hell happened to Walter
I’m in no way taking the side of Russia, but remember, Putin warned Obama about the two punks that killed the people at the Boston Marathon and Obummer laughed at them and didn’t take the information seriously!…..Papa Mike
I know, try not to laugh.
(CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State John Kerry warned Monday that Russia was “on notice” with regard to the U.S. request to hand over the indicted former National Security Agency consultant Edward Snowden, even as Chinese officials played down concerns about soured relations with the U.S. over the decision to let the fugitive leave Chinese soil.
As of early Tuesday Snowden, who is wanted in the U.S. for leaking secrets to the media, was believed still to be at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, his first destination after flying out of Hong Kong on an Aeroflot flight on Sunday. With Iceland and Ecuador among countries reportedly considering his request for asylum, the U.S. government warned countries around the world not to harbor him.
Among the revelations made by Snowden over recent weeks were claims of NSA surveillance on targets in China and Russia – specifically, hacking of Chinese cellphone companies and interception of then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s communications while he was visiting Britain in 2009.
Update: Alternate headline: Russia laughs in Obama’s face.
Russian officials on Tuesday rejected U.S. calls to expel National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, denying that he was in their custody or receiving their assistance.
The former defense contractor, who revealed classified information on secret surveillance programs and is wanted on federal espionage charges, is believed to be in Moscow after he fled Hong Kong on Sunday.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, however, denied those claims.
“He has not crossed the Russian border,” said Lavrov, according to reports. “We consider the attempts to put blame on the Russian side … absolutely groundless and unacceptable.”
Amazing! According to the LSM, he’s the black JFK and this is Camelot and he’s one of the smartest people in the world. How is it that he knows nuttin’ about Fast and Furious, Benghazi, the IRS scandal, NSA snooping, and the other scandals he’s involved in? He’s more like the black version of BJ. BJ has a photographic memory but he, like Thunder Rodent Thighs (the smartest woman in the world), couldn’t recall anything about the myriad scandals they were involved in. What is it about Dimocrats and their poor memories?
Poor Paula Deen. All she had to do during her deposition was to use the Dimocrat’s defense and say, “I don’t recall”. It worked for BJ and Thunder Rodent Thighs and it looks like it’s working for Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade and all of his minions. Of course, having a lapdog media, which is the propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party, helps. As Insty said, “If Nixon had been a Dimocrat, no one would have heard of Woodward and Bernstein.” Nixon would have been a two term president.

Here is what we have proof of…
The Obama IRS Scandal involves:
** Nearly 500 conservative groups targeted
** At least 5 pro-Israel groups targeted
** Constitutional groups targeted
** Groups that criticized Obama administration were targeted
** At least two pro-life groups targeted
** A Texas voting-rights group was targeted
** Conservative activists and businesses were targeted.
** At least 88 IRS agents were involved in the targeting scandal
** At least one conservative Hispanic group was targeted
We also know that although three liberal groups were asked follow-up questions when they applied for tax-exempt status – The IRS DID NOT Give Liberal Groups Same Scrutiny as Conservative Organizations.
But that didn’t stop the chief of the IRS Danny Werfel to tell reporters today that the IRS also targeted “progressive” and “occupy” groups.
These people are lying folks.
The AP repoted:
The Internal Revenue Service’s screening of groups seeking tax-exempt status was broader and lasted longer than has been previously disclosed, the new head of the agency said Monday.
An internal IRS document obtained by The Associated Press said that besides “tea party,” lists used by screeners to pick groups for close examination also included the terms “Israel,” ”Progressive” and “Occupy.” The document said an investigation into why specific terms were included was still underway.
This is what happens when your young children innocently go off to college and are brainwashed by the colleges Liberal, Far Left professors. The students need to hold close to who they are and NOT allow anyone to “STOMP” on their “BELIEFS”….Papa Mike
Far left activist Professor Deandre Poole, the vice chairman of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party, forced students in his classroom to stomp on Jesus in a classroom exercise.
At least one student was outraged that his religious rights were violated. The student wassuspended.
This week Poole was reinstated.
University Press reported:
More than three months after Professor of Communications and Multimedia Studies, Deandre Poole, was placed on administrative leave for his “Jesus Stomping exercise,” he was rehired.
The status and whereabouts of Poole were unknown until today when Interim Dean of the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters Heather Coltman announced his reinstatement.
“We have a lot of students in communications. A lot of the classes are generally full and Dr. Poole is very qualified,” Coltman told the UP. “Enrollment is up. We want him back in the classroom.”
Poole will be returning to his position, in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, at FAU next week, but will only be teaching online courses for the first two semesters of his return.

A pen in the hand of this president is far more dangerous than a gun in the hands of 200 million law-abiding citizens.
The second one is attributed to Clint Eastwood.
We Americans are so tired of being thought of as dumbasses by the rest of the world that we went to the polls this past November and removed all doubt.
Speaking of which, Oblunder bombed in Berlin. He made his usual citizen of the world (Dear World: You are welcome to him.) speech full of empty platitudes and his delivery sucked. From Nile Gardener of the UK Telegraph.
“Barack Obama bombs in Berlin: a weak, underwhelming address from a floundering president”
“Barack Obama underscored again why he is no JFK or Ronald Reagan. In front of the Brandenburg Gate, Obama sounded more like the president of the European Commission than the leader of the free world.”
Got the link from Rich Galen. Galen also writes that Jug Hussein Ears Downgrade kept calling the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeffery Osborne. His real name is George Osborne. Galen writes, “Imagine the projectile tears of derisive laughter among the MSNBC crowd if George W. had done that?”
But I digress.
Tingles Matthews bemoaned the fact that the sun was shining on his trusty TelePrompTer and he was forced to read his speech the old fashioned way, from paper. We’ve come a long way from Ronald Reagan telling Gorbachev to “Tear down this wall” to Oblunder mouthing empty platitudes. Obungler wouldn’t even make a flea sitting on a hair growing out of a boil on Ronald Reagan’s ass. We’ve gone from a giant to a pygmy SCoaMF
We reached our zenith with the defeat of the USSR and the “Evil Empire” and the end of the Cold War. Reagan fought communism and the Dimocrats, who were on the wrong side of history. The Floater belittled the Strategic Defense Initiative by calling it Star Wars. SDI forced the Soviets to throw in the towel. We’ve been in a downward spiral ever since. The proof of that is reelecting Obeauzeau after his disastrous first term. We doubled down on failure. Here’s a delicious irony. The unions who overwhelmingly supported Oboner are now finding out that they are gonna get screwed by Obummercare. Welcome to the party assholes! You voted for it. Elections have consequences.
The last time we checked in with Florida Atlantic University instructor Deandre Poole, Ph.D., who was just rewarded with a contract renewal by the school, he was advising his students to write the name “Jesus” on a piece of paper, then place the paper on the floor and stomp on it.
When a student took offense and complained about the assignment that came to be known as “Stomp Jesus,” the story went viral. Much of the angst resulting from the national firestorm was directed at Poole, who was eventually placed on administrative leave for safety reasons.
In a Friday news dump, Heather Coltman, interim dean of the College of Arts and Letters, stated that Poole “was offered and has accepted an appointment as an instructor, beginning with the 2013 summer term.”
Interesting points, in addition to the “why charge espionage so early”? Politically, it would have made it harder to seek extradition from Hong Kong. Nothing would have inhibited U.S. from charging it at a later date, if they chose to do so.
Via NY Times:
David H. Laufman, a former federal prosecutor in the United States, said it appeared that the Obama administration had flubbed Mr. Snowden’s case in at least two ways.
“What mystifies me is that the State Department didn’t revoke his passport after the charges were filed” on June 14, Mr. Laufman said. “They missed an opportunity to freeze him in place.”
He also expressed puzzlement at the decision to unseal the criminal charges on Friday, possibly prompting Mr. Snowden to flee. The standard practice in such cases is to unseal the charges only after the defendant is in custody, he said.

This just goes to show how far in the tank the MSM is for Obama that a journalist (and I use that term lightly in regard to Gregory) would want a fellow reporter jailed for doing his job simply because it makes Obama look bad.
First, I want to make it perfectly clear that I firmly believe National Security Agency analyst Edward Snowden has committed a crime and in saying that:
David Gregory left the world of being a White House reporter because he knew he could do more damage to the Republican party in the position he’s in now…….Gregory just got his ass handed to him for doing what he does best, Kisses Obama’s ass every chance he gets, but this time Glenn Greenwald turned the table on him and put his boot right up where “the sun don’t shine” on Gregory. Most of the world applauds you sir!…….Papa Mike
NBC “Meet the Press” host David Gregory unjustly insulted Glenn Greenwald on Sunday by asking the Guardian reporter why he shouldn’t be charged with a crime for having “aided and abetted” former National Security Agency analyst Edward Snowden.
Greenwald replied on the show Sunday that it was “pretty extraordinary that anybody who would call themselves a journalist would publicly muse about whether or not other journalists should be charged with felonies.”
Greenwald first reported Snowden’s disclosure of U.S. government surveillance programs. On Sunday, Ecuador’s foreign minister and the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks said that Snowden was headed to Ecuador to seek asylum.
During his interview with NBC’s Gregory, Greenwald declined to discuss where Snowden was headed. That refusal seemed to prompt Gregory to ask: “To the extent that you have aided and abetted Snowden, even in his current movements, why shouldn’t you, Mr. Greenwald, be charged with a crime?”
Greenwald said Gregory was embracing the Obama administration’s attempt to “criminalize investigative journalism,” citing an FBI agent’s characterization of Fox News journalist James Rosen as a probable co-conspirator of a State Department contractor who was suspected of leaking classified information to Rosen. Rosen was not charged.
“If you want to embrace that theory, it means that every investigative journalist in the United States who works with their sources, who receives classified information is a criminal, and it’s precisely those theories and precisely that climate that has become so menacing in the United States,” said Greenwald, a former constitutional and civil rights lawyer who has written three books contending that the government has violated personal rights in the name of protecting national security.
Gregory responded that “the question of who is a journalist may be up to a debate with regard to what you are doing.” Gregory also said he was merely asking a question.
“That question has been raised by lawmakers as well,” Gregory said. “I’m not embracing anything, but, obviously, I take your point.”
Later, Greenwald tweeted, “Who needs the government to try to criminalize journalism when you have David Gregory to do it?” and, “Has David Gregory ever publicly wondered if powerful DC officials should be prosecuted for things like illegal spying & lying to Congress?”

The IRS sent 23,994 refund checks totaling $46,378,040 to “unauthorized” alien workers at the same address in Atlanta.
The Internal Revenue Service sent 23,994 tax refunds worth a combined $46,378,040 to “unauthorized” alien workers who all used the same address in Atlanta, Ga., in 2011, according to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).
That was not the only Atlanta address theoretically occupied by thousands of “unauthorized” alien workers receiving millions in federal tax refunds in 2011. In fact, according to a TIGTA audit report published last year, four of the top ten addresses to which the IRS sent thousands of tax refunds to “unauthorized” aliens were in Atlanta.
The IRS sent 11,284 refunds worth a combined $2,164,976 to unauthorized alien workers at a second Atlanta address; 3,608 worth $2,691,448 to a third; and 2,386 worth $1,232,943 to a fourth.
The IRS also sent 8,393 refund checks to the same bank account.
